The Ally Shrimp is a classic salmon fly, originally tied by Scottish fly tier Ally Gowans. It’s one of the most popular “shrimp-style” patterns for Atlantic salmon and steelhead, especially effective in clear or slightly peaty rivers.

Fishing Use

Works well in both low and medium water conditions.
Fished on floating or intermediate lines with a swing.
Especially good on rivers with shrimp and prawn life cycles, but it’s also a proven general attractor.
