Partridge V2SS/SE Predator Shank – Stainless / Straight-Eye

The Partridge V2SS/SE Predator Shank is the original double-wire fly-tying shank designed for building predator flies, articulated streamers and Game Changer-style patterns. Its strong stainless construction provides a versatile foundation for creating large, highly articulated flies with maximum movement in the water.

Featuring a double-wire design and straight eye, the V2SS/SE gives fly tyers a secure platform for adding materials while allowing multiple shanks to be connected when building segmented and articulated patterns. The range of available lengths makes it easy to customize the overall profile, length and movement of your fly.

The Predator Shank is particularly effective for tying Game Changers and other articulated baitfish patterns for species such as pike, musky, bass and large trout. Different shank lengths can be combined to create realistic swimming action and larger profiles without relying on an excessively long hook.

For compatible hooks, Partridge recommends pairing the shank with Z4 hooks in size #2 or larger, or ST hooks in size #4 or larger.
