Jamie is a professional fly tyer and salmon angler from Newfoundland, Canada. He began fly tying in 2007 while working as a paramedic in a small Newfoundland community. Over the years, he has developed expertise in crafting Atlantic salmon flies, including classic singles, shrimps, bombers, and bugs, as well as various sea trout and inland trout patterns Jamie's skills have earned him recognition among Canada's elite fly tyers. He has been selected as a professional tyer for Partridge of Redditch, Shor Fishing, Timber And Fins, Raidzap, Ewing, and Textreme. He is also affiliated with SPRITE Hooks.In 2024, Jamie participated in the Irish Fly Fair, marking his first visit to Ireland. During this event, he shared insights on fly fishing techniques, such as using bombers and the riffled hitch, and discussed the cultural connections between Newfoundland and Ireland .
